Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026

Qdan Inc. (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates mobile applications (collectively, “our Apps”). This policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our Apps. We establish a framework for protecting personal information and promote awareness and practices that safeguard it. The services used and information handled vary by app, version, and the features you use.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Apps, certain information is collected automatically through third-party services:

  • Google Analytics for Firebase: We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our Apps. This service collects usage data such as session duration, screens viewed, user interactions, and general demographic information (e.g., country, language, device type). Measurement uses identifiers such as app installation IDs. Identifiers and usage history are processed even when you do not enter your name.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: We use Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic data. This includes device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, stack traces, and installation identifiers. This data helps us identify and fix bugs to improve app stability.
  • Google AdMob: We use AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect and use device advertising identifiers, IP address, and usage data to deliver personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your preferences and applicable regulations.

1.2 Information Handled for Specific Features

  • Support inquiries: We receive information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, email address, and inquiry, to provide support.
  • Records and device transfer: Records you enter, such as visited regions, scores, notes, and map settings, are stored on your device. When you generate a transfer code, the records and settings included in the transfer are encrypted on your device and sent to Cloud Firestore. Device transfer uses an anonymous user identifier from Firebase Authentication and Firebase App Check to help prevent unauthorized access.
  • Photos, camera, and recordings: When you choose to use these features and grant the necessary permissions, selected or captured photos and recorded audio are used within games. Images and audio from these features are stored on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
  • Online play: Firebase Realtime Database handles anonymous Firebase user identifiers, player names, selected icons, room information, submitted answers, and game progress. Information needed to play is shared with participants in the same room. Premium entitlement status is associated with user identifiers.

1.3 Location, Contacts, and Payment Details

The record and transfer, photo and recording, online play, and purchase management features do not obtain your current GPS location or your device’s contact list. This is separate from records of visited regions that you enter and information such as country or region handled by advertising and analytics services.

Apple or Google processes payments for in-app purchases. Our apps do not obtain payment-method details such as credit card numbers. Purchase history and entitlements are handled as described below.

1.4 In-App Purchases and RevenueCat

Apps and versions that use RevenueCat send the following information to RevenueCat, Inc. to verify and restore purchases, manage subscriptions and entitlements, prevent purchase fraud, and analyze purchase activity:

  • Purchase history, product and transaction identifiers, receipts, and purchase tokens
  • Purchase dates, expiration dates, and purchase status such as renewals or cancellations
  • App user identifiers and technical information such as device and operating system information

Purchase management uses an anonymous app user identifier generated by RevenueCat or an anonymous Firebase user identifier. This integration does not ask for your name or email address. When linked to online features, the same identifier is used to manage entitlements.

This integration does not send payment-method details such as credit card numbers to RevenueCat. Information handled by advertising and analytics services is described in the respective sections of this policy.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • To respond to inquiries
  • To provide features you use, including record storage, device transfer, and online play
  • To verify and restore purchases, manage entitlements, prevent purchase fraud, and analyze purchase activity
  • To prevent unauthorized access and misuse of our services
  • To analyze app usage and improve user experience
  • To diagnose and fix crashes and technical issues
  • To serve advertisements within our Apps
  • To monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities

3. Third-Party Services

Our Apps use the following third-party services that may collect information:

These third-party services may collect and process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies. RevenueCat processes purchase-related information on our behalf.

Disclosure to Third Parties

We manage personal information entrusted to us appropriately and do not disclose it to third parties except in the following cases:

  • You have consented to the disclosure.
  • Disclosure is made to a service provider we engage to provide services you request.
  • Disclosure is required by law.

4. Advertising

Our Apps display advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may use advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID on Android or the Identifier for Advertisers on iOS) to serve ads.

You can opt out of personalized advertising:

  • Android: Use the advertising ID or ad privacy settings available on your device. Names and available controls vary by operating system and device.
  • iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and disable tracking for the app

5. Data Retention

Analytics and crash data are retained according to the settings and policies of each third-party service:

  • Google Analytics: User-level and event-level data retention depends on the property settings. See Google’s data retention documentation.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Google states that crash information and associated identifiers are retained for 90 days before deletion from live and backup systems begins.
  • Transfer data: Transfer codes are valid for 24 hours. Code expiration and physical deletion of server-side data occur at different times.
  • Purchase information, online feature data, and support inquiries: We handle this information to provide features, offer support, prevent misuse, and meet legal requirements. Retention and deletion by external services also depend on their settings and policies. Please contact us below to discuss deletion or related requests.

6. Children’s Privacy

Parents and guardians should also review this policy when children use our Apps. If you have concerns about information relating to a child under 13, or below the applicable age in your jurisdiction, please contact us below. We will review the matter and take necessary action, including deletion where appropriate, in accordance with applicable law.

7. Data Security

We strive to keep personal information accurate and up to date. We maintain security systems and management procedures and take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, damage, alteration, or disclosure of information collected through our Apps. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your data, including:

  • The right to access, correct, or delete your data
  • The right to opt out of data collection
  • The right to data portability

To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information below. We will review the app name and your request and respond in accordance with applicable law. We may ask for information needed to locate the relevant data.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We comply with Japanese laws and other applicable standards concerning the personal information we hold, and review and improve this policy as needed. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the “Last updated” date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
